VESSEL video gallery A review of VESSEL by John Neylon for The Adelaide Review, March 2020 The ninth in a series of award winning exhibitions that explore the digressions and tangents of a single-word elemental theme, this year VESSEL comes to you from inside both the Packing Shed and the 1850s Hart’s Mill. The exhibition once again opens up parts of these Inner Harbour's mill buildings that have been inaccessible for decades. We are a collective of contemporary artists who have previously brought you the award winning series RUST, SALT, TAR, SMOKE, KNOT, GRIT, GRAIN and BRIDGE. We get together once a year to produce work to a single word theme that has some association with the elemental and physical nature of the Port where the exhibitions take place. And we enjoy what we do. Never predictable, often accidental, sometimes unruly and provocative, always pretty wonderful. |
